When Evil Seems to Win: Finding Our Refuge in God’s Sovereign Rule

Daniel 11 gives a clear picture of history shaped by human pride, conflict, and instability. Kingdoms rise and fall, alliances fail, and power never holds for long. Yet throughout it all, the passage reminds us that none of this is outside of God’s sovereign rule. History is not random. It is moving toward an end that God has already appointed.

At the climax of the chapter, human rebellion reaches its height in a ruler who exalts himself above all. But even then, his power is limited and his end is certain. This prepares us to see the need for a different kind of King. Jesus Christ, who humbled Himself and now reigns forever, stands in contrast to every earthly ruler.

This passage calls us to examine where we place our trust. In a world that feels unstable, we are invited to take refuge in God alone. He is the only foundation that will not be shaken. Join us as we continue to gather and sit under God’s Word together.
