At Refuge Church, we believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ is not just good news—it’s life-changing. It meets us in our brokenness, transforms us by grace, and calls us into a new way of living.

We’re planting Refuge Church in Centralia to be a Gospel-centered community where:

• The hurting find healing.

• The curious find clarity.

• The saved are equipped to live as disciples who make disciples.

Our name - Refuge - comes from Psalm 46:1:

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

That’s our hope: to be a reflection of that truth. A spiritual refuge where people can find rest, be renewed, and grow deeper in their walk with Christ.

Where We Came From

Refuge Church began as a vision - a burden placed on our hearts for the people of Centralia. We started with prayer, a few conversations, and a whole lot of dependence on God. At one point, we thought the name would be Kingdom Life Church. But as God continued to shape the heart of this mission, it became clear: this church would be a Refuge.

We’re not a large team or a flashy movement. We’re just everyday people who believe Jesus is worth following and that others should know Him too.

Where We’re Headed

We are in the pre-launch phase, gathering a core team and beginning to build a foundation. Our goal is to officially launch worship gatherings in the near future, but right now, we’re focused on:

• Praying for our city.

• Building a community of believers who want to live the Gospel together.

• Inviting others into the mission.

Our vision is not to just start a church service—it’s to build a church family where people are known, discipled, and sent to love well.
