Open the Eyes of Our Hearts

In Ephesians 1:15–19, Paul gives thanks for the Ephesian believers’ faith in Jesus and love for the saints. He then prays that God would enlighten the eyes of their hearts. They already possess the blessings of salvation, but they need God’s help to see those blessings clearly and live in light of them.

Paul wants them to know the hope of God’s calling, the riches of their inheritance, and the immeasurable greatness of God’s power toward those who believe. That power is the resurrection power displayed when the Father raised Jesus Christ from the dead and seated him above every authority.

Believers are called to thank God for evidence of grace, pray for spiritual sight, and interpret their lives through the hope, inheritance, and power they have in Christ. Those who are not yet in Christ are invited to turn from sin and trust in the crucified and risen Savior. Join Refuge Church Centralia Sundays at 10 am as we gather around God’s Word.
