Trusting God When He Withholds the Answer (Daniel 12:5-10)
In Daniel 12:5-10, Daniel asks for greater understanding about the future suffering of God’s people, but the Lord does not give him every detail he desires. Instead, God gives Daniel assurance that the end is fixed, history remains under divine control, and the suffering of the saints is measured by God’s sovereign hand.
This passage reminds believers that faithfulness does not require full explanation. God often calls His people to walk forward with unanswered questions, trusting His character when His providence remains hidden. Even in suffering and delay, the Lord is refining His people and preparing them for glory.
Because Christ endured the darkest providence at the cross for our redemption, we can trust that God’s hidden purposes are wise and good. If you are weary in waiting or struggling with unanswered questions, this sermon is a reminder that the God who rules history can be trusted fully.
