The Mystery Revealed

In Ephesians 3:1-13, Paul explains the mystery that God has now revealed in Christ. Gentiles are not merely allowed to stand closer to God’s people. Through the Gospel, they are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the same promise in Jesus Christ. What God promised throughout Scripture has been revealed in its fullness through Jesus.

This Gospel has also been entrusted to God’s people. Paul calls the message he preached “the unsearchable riches of Christ.” We do not own the Gospel and we do not have authority to change it. We are stewards called to know it, guard it, and faithfully proclaim it. Through the people this Gospel creates, the church, God displays His manifold wisdom according to His eternal purpose in Christ.

Because of Christ, believers have boldness and confident access to the Father. So come boldly to God, commit yourself to Christ’s church, and tell someone about the riches of Christ. If you have never trusted Christ, the invitation of the Gospel remains the same: turn from your sin and trust in Jesus Christ.
